Summer Junior Programs

Bonjour!
Our programs offer your teenager (12-17 years old) the opportunity to combine the excitement of an international adventure with first-rate language instruction and a healthy dose of fun.

The locations

We offer your teenager a choice of six locations: in Antibes, Aix-en-Provence, Biarritz, Montpellier, Nice and Paris.

Located along the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean Sea, Antibes offers easy access to the many wonders of the Riviera while providing the security and safety of a small beach town. This program is open to international students ages 14-17 with housing options of living with a host family or in the student residence on campus.

AIX-IBS is located in the heart of Provence, Just 8 km south of Aix-en-Provence. This program is open to both French and international students ages 12-17 providing an excellent opportunity to meet native French students during meal and activity time. Housing is arranged with host families or in on of the student villas.

Biarritz overlooks the Atlantic coast on the south west side of France, and is known as one of the more upscale vacation spots in France. The program is open to students ages 14 to 17 and offers greater opportunity to enjoy the adventurous outdoor sports that have made the region so popular. Housing is offered in host families or the student residence.

Montpellier is a young dynamic city located in the heart of a region filled with historic Roman ruins, natural wildlife preserves, beautiful sandy beaches and picturesque fishing ports. This program is reserved for school groups of students ages 13-17. Housing is offered in host families only.

Located along the Mediterranean Sea, Nice offers all the beauty and charm of the French Riviera. This program accepts students ages 13-17 with housing options of living with a host family or in the student residence.

Paris is without doubt one of the most well known cities in the world. This program is held on a private campus in the suburbs of Paris and accepts students ages 13-17. Housing is in the student residence only.
When

Our programs are offered during the months of June, July and August for 2 or more weeks in the city of your choice.
The classes

The general language program offers 15 hours of instruction per week with supervised sports and activities each afternoon, and excursions on weekends. French proficiency tests are given the first day of class and are used to group the students into one of four levels: beginner, elementary, intermediate or advanced. Students are separated by age and proficiency level. The age ranges vary at each school. Although no previous knowledge of French is required for these programs, having some background knowledge in the language is suggested and will greatly enhance your teenager's rate of progress. An evening program of activities is also offered for students living in a student residence.

The accommodations

Students have a choice of living with a host family or staying in a student residence, depending on the program selected. Accommodations are shared with other students and include three meals a day.
The atmosphere

Each program offers a team of dynamic teachers and counselors who ensure each student has a positive and enjoyable learning experience in France. The programs are open to students from all over the world, immersing your teenager in a truly international atmosphere.
Each location offers a full program of morning French classes, afternoon activities and sports, and weekend excursions.

The dates

All programs start on a Monday and end on a Friday. Accommodations are arranged from Sunday to Saturday unless otherwise indicated. Students are met upon arrival in their host city either by the host family or by a school representative, and are also accompanied to the airport for departure. Optional adult programs for parents are available in all cities, see our Language Learning Vacations for more information.
