If your passport is not current, we suggest renewing it as soon as possible. The application process for passports usually takes from four to six weeks. Americans are no longer required to obtain visas to travel to France for short visits. The U.S. passport allows you to stay in the country for up to 3 months.
The Teacher Training Programs are open to adults of all ages from all over the world so you can expect to find an international atmosphere at the institutes. All the programs are designed for independent travelers who share a passion for the French language, culture and lifestyle. If you prefer to attend a general French program as a refresher course, we also offer Language Learning Vacations year round for one or more weeks in Bordeaux, Paris, Tours, Montpellier, Aix-en-Provence and Nice. Longer programs ranging from 3 months to a full academic year can also be arranged through our office as part of our Study Abroad programs.
Arrangements for housing, meals and program registration are handled by FAE and the host institute. Accommodations may be arranged for more than one person. With all the options available through the internet for airfare, we recommend making your own travel arrangements. We also offer an optional 2-day, 2-night visit of Paris either before or after your program, which includes a double room with private bath and continental breakfast in a choice of hotels. With your Paris visit, you will receive a complete tourist information packet on the city including maps, metro tickets and other useful information.
Our goal is to make your trip as easy and as enjoyable as possible. We have been offering language programs in France since 1986 and are able to accommodate any special requests you or your travel companion may have. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at your convenience. We look forward to having you with us soon.
